No. Every project is built to run without us and handed over documented. Retainers exist for teams who'd rather we keep monitoring, maintaining, and shipping improvements — most clients choose one after seeing the first system run, but it's never required.
Then we shouldn't build it — and we'll say so in the audit. Every proposal includes the payback math: hours saved times loaded cost, plus revenue effects where measurable. If the numbers don't clear the fee within months, we'll recommend a smaller scope or none at all.
